New study finds a decrease in the abundance of Indo-Pacific bottlenose dolphins in Plettenberg Bay.

This study contributed new abundance information which can assist conservation management. The researchers found a decline in dolphin abundance and group sizes in the Plettenberg bay subset of the study area, and discuss plausible hypotheses.
